A Yarra Valley Wedding
Posted by Mark on Apr 9, 2011 in Blog | 0 commentsKim and Karl had less than three months to organise their wedding day. Originally planned for 2012, they needed to bring it forward by more than a year thanks to changing family circumstances, which meant a lot less time than expected to get everything happening!
The couple wanted it to be a relaxed day, informal and comfortable. They chose All Smiles at Warranwood in Melbourne’s Yarra Valley as their venue and were marred on the grounds in a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony, performed by Melbourne celebrant Karine Hart.
Early on in the day, the weather wasn’t looking too promising, but by the time we arrived to photography the Groom and his Groomsmen getting ready – our first stop for the day – the sun had come out and it remained thankfully remained beautiful sunshine from then on in. After visiting the Groom, we headed to the Bride’s parents house, where Kim and her bridesmaids were getting ready – and found they lived opposite a part where Kim had played on countless occasions as a young girl. We took full opportunity of the location, photographing the bride, her family and her bridesmaids throughout the park, even up on top of the slide!
Kim’s unique wedding dress was a stunning red, which caught all eyes as she arrived at All Smiles. After the ceremony, we had some beautiful country wedding backdrops of rolling hills and vineyards for the family and formal wedding photos, making use of the afternoon light. Then it was inside for the reception, a cocktail style event with family and guests casually mingling and laughing together. The food was plentiful and the party went well into the night.
A big congratulations to Kim and Karl!
